A richly carved and openwork console table in light oak. The symmetrical motifs of interlacing patterns, garlands of flowers, and plant motifs converge in a beautiful carved shell at the center of the apron.

The finials of the four generously curved legs are openwork and adorned with an acanthus leaf.

The carved stretcher connecting the four legs features a generous central finial decorated with a large openwork shell and floral scrolls.

This console table, with its balanced and finely executed motifs, displays the famous shell motif characteristic of the Regency period in several places. It is topped with its original reinforced marble: Aleppo breccia. This marble, predominantly yellow and composed of colored fragments, comes from the Tholonet quarry, near Aix-en-Provence.
