In molded walnut, intended for serving game, it opens with two large chapel leaves separated by a false frame molded with a shell and a flower. The reserves of the leaves are carved with acanthus leaves as well as the uprights. The imposing steel sheets make it possible to open the doors revealing two drawers receiving the knives for cutting.
The sideboard rests on winding legs connected by a fretted crosspiece.
At the top, the intact shelled marble top called Saint Cyr stone comes from a quarry near Lyon. Its color and its inclusions of shells are characteristic of this stone used for Lyonnais hunting chests. This stone with throat and cavet has a thickness of 4.5 cm.
Eighteenth century period. Modifications to note, an old conversion at the level of the uprights in particular by an additional sculpture in relief to reproduce the central motif of the false frame. The lock has been replaced by an older one than the structure as well as the finely crafted key.
