Green Horn Engagement Cartel

Alcove cartel in green horn veneer, gilded bronzes and brass inlays

In a violin shape, this bedside cartel presents gilded bronzes chiselled with scrolls of flowers and natural motifs. Some brass floral inlays recall this theme.

At the amortization a dove, symbol of engagement, surmounts a quiver and its arrows. Below and in a medallion there is a female profile.

At the top, Cupid rushes towards the lovers.

The dial with midnight blue Roman and Arabic numerals.

The 19th century mechanism in working order strikes the hours and half-hours. Features its system formerly triggered by a cord which allowed the hours to strike at night.
