Large Aubusson tapestry in wool and silk representing a fox hunting scene.

Four moving figures in colorful outfits chase the fox with their canine companion. The cubs are set back and secure.

Leafy trees in different shades of green. In the background two castles with still vivid colors and contours stand out clearly.

Beautiful original frame with a frieze in which natural and floral motifs are abundant.

This large-sized tapestry presents particularly fresh and vivid colors. Maintained with care, it was notably cleaned in the Aubusson workshops in 1987.

Period early eighteenth century.
