Privateer safe made in Germany, in the Nuremberg region.

In wrought iron, it is polychromed on the front, on the sides as well as on the opening top.

These are floral motifs, foliage and fleuron scrolls specific to the Dutch polychromies applied to these German chests.

The key opens an ingenious and robust 5-bolt mechanism. The latter is covered with its finely chiseled plate with mandarin characters.

The trunk has additional security thanks to its bar blocking the opening and closing with a padlock (rear).

It rests on a support.
