Nîmoise chest of drawers in walnut, Provence, 18th century

Solid walnut chest of drawers opening with two drawers. Curved on the front as well as the sides and on the uprights.

The drawers are finely carved with rockeries, the keyholes are framed by acanthus reserves.

The paneled and molded sides are curved and counter-curved.

Crosses in front and openwork sides of asymmetrical rockeries.

The uprights end on fine, elegant and strongly arched feet sculpted with acanthus leaves.

The room is topped with a corbin beak plate mounted with wedges.

Nîmes work, Louis XV period, 18th century.
