Chest of drawers, Louis XV, XVIII

Commode of form tomb, curved in facade as well as on the sides.

Opening with 3 drawers, it presents a marquetry with cubes without bottom in facade as well as on the lateral panels.

This type of marquetry also known as "Oeben cubes" is made of amaranth wood, tinted sycamore, rosewood and violet wood.

In order to give the impression of a superposition of volumes, the lightest wood is used for the illuminated part, the opposite facet presents a dark wood and the essence used for the upper face is a duller wood.

The chest of drawers is decorated with a red cherry marble strongly veined in white, with double throat and strokes.

Ornamentation of natural bronzes. Has two functional keys.

Elegant chest of drawers high on legs. Its original proportions coming closer to a room of between-two make a piece of furniture refined and easy to place in an interior of charm.

Louis XV period, eighteenth century.

Certificate of authenticity issued by an independent expert.
